If you use the Simple Fields plugin in WordPress, you can connect your Kapost custom fields with a field in Simple Fields.
To do so, you first need to figure out the "name" of your field in Simple Fields that you want to send information to. To find out this name, go to the Post page in your WordPress. On the right side, there should be a Simple Fields module that has a link that reads "Show custom field keys".
If you click on this, the Simple Fields module will display the correct name. For the image below, the name of the field is "_simple_fields_fieldGroupID_1_fieldID_1_sumInSet_0". Copy down the name that is used. You'll need this for the next step.
Step 2 of this process is to create a custom field in Kapost. To do so, go to your newsroom settings. Under the "workflow" tab there is an area to create custom fields. These are fields that will appear on a Kapost post and can connect to a Simple Field's field. When creating a new custom field that you want to connect to Simple Field, you need to ensure that the "Field Name" of this field (not "Display Name") is the same as the name of the field in WordPress (discussed above).
If these two fields - one in Kapost and one in WordPress - are the same, when a post is published the content in the custom field in Kapost will be sent to the custom field in WordPress.
