Before we sync to a Custom Field in Kapost we will need some information about the custom field.
We will need to have:
- MetaField Name: E.g. resource_priority_
- The Type: E.g. Text Box, Taxonomy Dropdown, etc.
- The Values of the custom field: See below sample.
You can get all of this information from your WordPress instance.
For instance we want to sync a custom filed with the MetaField Name of 'resource_priority of type 'drop down, and values '1, 2, 3, 4, 5'.
That custom field would be setup in Kapost like this in Settings > Custom Fields:
Notice how the 'values' have been mapped to the words Very High, High, Medium ... etc. The syntax for that mapping is using the '|' key. You would just hit save changes and now your Kapost Custom Field is capable of writing to your WordPress custom field.
