Member Roles and Responsibilities

Administrator Role (Admin):

  1. Work closely with the Kapost team to setup and maintain your Kapost instance and enable all user roles to efficiently plan, create, distribute and consume content.
  2. Lead by example by being a Kapost Power User. Educate users on the Kapost platform and best practices. 
  3. Provide a feedback channel on Kapost Settings to keep Kapost efficient and up to date as processes change and manage any needed updates. 
  4. Use Kapost in daily marketing efforts to Plan, Create and Distribute content everyday in Kapost. 
  5. Stay updated on product changes and new features and communicate necessary information to users.

Admin Resources:

Admins have the highest level of permission and can access:

  • Suite Settings
  • Publish Content (this can be adjusted in Settings)
  • Check off tasks that are assigned to them
  • Edit tasks in workflow
  • Create ideas/content
  • Approve/Reject Ideas
  • Editing content assigned to them
  • Editing other’s content
  • Create initiatives
  • Edit initiatives without being owner
    or without owning content tasks
    within initiative
  • Export Calendar 
  • Share Calendar Views
  • Delete Shared Views
  • See the Custom Reports Tab
  • Insights
  • Analytics on Individual Assets
  • Members Page
  • Edit their own profiles
  • Delete members
  • Add members
  • Accept member requests
  • Change membership roles
  • Edit other member's profiles
  • Gallery Settings*
  • Gallery within Kapost
  • Externally Shared Galleries
  • Submit ideas from a Gallery Collection Group Page

Editor Role

  1. Provide feedback on how well Kapost is customized to match internal people and process.
  2. Lead by example by being a Kapost Power User. Share platform knowledge amongst the team.
  3. Use Kapost daily to manage marketing efforts to Plan, Create and Distribute content using the Studio of Kapost.
  4. Share experience leveraging Kapost with the larger team.

Editors have access to:

  • Publish Content (this can be adjusted in Settings)
  • Check off tasks that are assigned to them
  • Edit tasks in workflow
  • Create ideas/content
  • Approve/Reject Ideas
  • Editing content assigned to them
  • Editing other’s content
  • Create initiatives
  • Edit initiatives without being owner
    or without owning content tasks
    within initiative
  • Export Calendar 
  • Share Calendar Views
  • Delete Shared Views

Contributor Role

  1. Complete relevant tasks in Kapost.
  2. Use Kapost to manage content contributions, communication, and collaboration.

Contributors have access to:

  • Publish Content (this can be adjusted in Settings)
  • Check off tasks that are assigned to them
  • Create ideas/content
  • Editing content assigned to them
  • Insights
  • Analytics on Individual Assets
  • Members Page
  • Edit their own profiles
  • Gallery within Kapost
  • Externally Shared Galleries
  • Submit ideas from a Gallery Collection Group Page

Consumer Role

  1. Use the Gallery to find and consume content created by the marketing team. 
  2. Share and download content created by the marketing team.
  3. Submit ideas when content gaps exist.
  4. Provide background to marketing team that can be used to improve the Gallery experience.

Consumer Users do not have access to the Suite, Insights, or Members pages.

Consumer User Resources:

Consumers have access to:

  • Consume and view content in the gallery.
  • The Content gallery from a shared Collections Group URL or from an embedded view in SFDC or your own portal. 
  • Build a favorites folder and share customer-facing content through email and social media channels.
  • Submit ideas for Admin review from a shared Gallery Collection Group Page. 

Resources for all users:
